DIY SYNTH PSU: How to design a simple dual power supply
This is exactly what i've been looking for and i've got one coming today! I recently built a TTSH and one of the two filters isn't working. It's on a sub-board but still needs a fair bit of supporting hardware to really test and this should help a ton. Is there any reason this wouldn't work if I feed it +/-15VDC instead?
And OLD WALWART is a good choice, they are SAFE!!!!!
There are MANY USB power units that ARE VERY EVRY DANGEROUS, see many RUclips channels showing this, here is one....DiodeGoneWilde
Nice video very helpful. PLZ use de esser on your dialogues😅
Yes I bought it, it is coming soon thanks for making it public.
Genius ! ❤
Looks like the DAC08 chip might also be a good alternative. Can anyone confirm?
I love how complete and clear your explanations are! This video helped me understand a lot about high and low pass filters.
Brilliant! Thank you!
very good explanation and this wants me to try to make my own VCO and that water analogy is golden. does anyone know a cheap ossiloscope which i could use for this?
This videos are fantastic. Thanks for sharing so much. Even though I'm years behind on electrical engineering, it gives a great insight for all of us working in different areas of audio applied to music,
@ 2:22 the sine wave cannot be heard. [Or did my computer filter it out? ;) ]
Damn that circuit is as clean as that beat, Dog!! Bravo!! def tweeting this! PS I def have these parts laying around I bet.
That is sick.
Awesome acid jam❤

The J113 mosfets seem to be fairly expensive so I'm wondering whether anyone has substituted it with a Mosfet or CMOS switch gate. If anyone has done this successfully, could they please let me know the substitute part they used? I'm not sure about Mosfets as they have an internal diode as I understand it but I have not worked with mosfets much and there have been a few mentions in other comments that a mosfet may be suitable. BTW, I have just started learning about modular synths and have found that this channel is the best source of information, Well done Moritz, your explanations are brilliant.
0/10 not open source
Why can't anybody do this with a finished track on it everyday stereo and amp?
Is a 500mA power supply enough for things like this? In the comments everyone is talking about 1000mA+
depends on how many modules you want to drive with it. 500mA should be enough for maybe 10 regular modules
Hit harder with the low shake them highs
Bro is the FL studio it self
those prophet chords were amazing
i love you man
Looks very fun. I will try making it

One could make a dual 2HP module to use it (say) with a Doepfer A-140-2, right?
yeah, that should work!
@@MoritzKlein0 Thanks a lot. This is way fascinating. What about a "Pimp my existing modules" series?
I already have one from superbooth. It is fun to play around.
Love the videos, extremely helpful, insightful, and interesting. Could you recommend basic electronic components that most commonly appear in your circuits, specifically which IC's are used the most often?
you can check the Labor manual for a list of commonly used components (bill of materials/full kit section): www.ericasynths.lv/media/LABOR_MANUAL.pdf
Hello, thanks for the videos! I have a question - How would I go about using batteries as a power supply for the op amps?
Any plans on doing a delay circuit video? Been eyeing the Labor kit and that would be maybe the first circuit I'd want to design
yup, currently writing the script for it!
Looks very interesting and useful.
this is amazing
It would be nice to see some reviews while I'm waiting for it.
ohhhh lord thank you so much
this man is a boss educator!
why is the peak detector on the output? I expected it to be connected to the input signal. Did you try this different arrangement?
both approaches work, but they result in different behavior. check this article: blog.mixanalog.com/compressor-topology-explained
is the scope expansion included?
no, it’ll release as an add-on next month!
Yippe!!!
Is the oscilloscope module for sale anywhere yet? I can't find it on their website? Are there any other modules available, as well?
we're aiming for a release of the oscilloscope module late next month, together with a eurorack power adapter module. more modules are in the works as well!
@@MoritzKlein0 thanks. Do you know if these will be sold in the US or only on the one website?
Amazing video mate!
This is great! mine's already on order! I'm wondering, how/where can I purchase the expansion oscilloscope?
we’re hoping to release the oscilloscope module late next month!
i really wish i studied better at the uni...nach diesem video schäme ich mich noch mehr mein diplom in elektro- und automatisierungstechnik zu erwähnen.
Very good idea. I want to built and test some stranger thing with this one.
Oooohhh, scope expansion module is cool. Nice. Should make more videos showing more examples of this product.
Saw that LED tattoo today. No going to tattoo shop after partying anymore.
